Amitabh Bachchan always had a ritual of throwing Diwali parties and his party used to be the most memorable. Of course, this was much before Covid. The legendary actor has now stopped throwing a Diwali party every year. Singer Mika Singh has recalled an incident where he once went to Bachchan's Diwali party uninvited. Recalling his experience, he also shared that Big B was quite gracious and nice to him, despite the fact that he was uninvited guest.
Mika said in an interview with Shubhankar Mishra, "I went to Amitabh Bachchan’s house on Diwali, and I just drove my Hummer through the gate, without any invitation. I had a big car, and the guards must have opened the gates because they thought I was a big star. I drove the car around for two to three times, and then he told me to come into his house rather than doing this. I felt rather embarrassed after that."
He added, "I went into the house, and big stars were all standing around waiting to meet him. Mr Ambani and Sachin Tendulkar were standing around him, and I felt out of place, so I started moving away. That is when he addressed me in front of everyone and told me to wait. He didn’t need to do that, but he made me wait so that I could meet everyone.”
Mika has also spoken about how he gifted a watch worth Rs 50 lakhs to Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. In this interview, Mika also opened up on his equation with Salman Khan and said that the best time to approach him is at night. He said that he's in a completely different mood after two drinks.
