Madikeri: A tiger is on the prowl on the periphery of the Nagarahole Tiger Reserve and killed cattle in Badaga Banangala village. Villagers are worried as the tiger is on the prowl in the area outside the forest. An adult tiger roaming in the village was captured on camera traps installed in the area. Forest officer Gangadhar visited the spot. He said that after discussing with superiors, the foresters sent a letter to govt seeking permission to rescue the tiger. Arrangements have been made for forest department staff and RRT Elephant Task Force staff to patrol the area at night and track the tiger's movement, he stated. tnn
