Lucknow: A case of forgery involving fake judicial documents has surfaced in Lucknow where two police constables from Gola Kheri allegedly used forged court summons and non-bailable warrants (NBWs) to arrest and present two accused before a special court dealing with crime against women.

According to a complaint submitted by Shubham Kumar, a clerk in the office of civil judge (junior division), fast track court (FTC) for crime against women, Lucknow, two accused Premchand and Munnalal, both sons of Rameshwar and residents of Chhotelalpur village under Gola Kheri police station, were brought before the court on April 29 by constables Vishal Gautam and Pankaj Kumar of the Gola Kheri police. The arrest was made on the basis of non-bailable warrants allegedly issued by court.

However, during an internal inquiry, the court found no official record of any such summons or NBWs being issued in the names of the two accused. The signature on the alleged documents did not match that of the presiding judicial officer and handwriting used in the forged documents did not match that of any employee in the judge's office. One fake summons was issued on April 12, 2025, a day when the court was officially closed.

The FIR numbers cited in the forged documents were not registered with the court. The forged summons and NBWs were sent to the SP, Kheri, via Speed Post Nos. EU530203371IN and EU530203385IN on April 15, 2025, at 3 pm and 3:08 pm respectively. However, no such dispatch was made from the court on that date, though the documents falsely listed the court as the sender. The personal details of arrested men were also included in the complaint: Premchand and Munnalal.

SHO, Wazirganj, Rajesh Tripathi said that an FIR was registered and a probe is being conducted.
