Falling donuts, Homer clones and new sidekicks are all dropping into Fortnite as part of the game's new update.
Fortnite fans will have plenty to enjoy with update 38.10, which made its debut after a period of server downtime. Unsurprisingly, the update introduces a host of new features and skins, including Simpsons fan-favourite bartender Moe. According to insiders, the new update will feature falling donuts from the sky, a detail hinted at in a tweet about the downtime.
"Tomorrow's forecast: high chance of falling donuts..." reads a tweet from Epic Games. "Downtime for v38.10 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand."
Homer Clones will also be introduced to the game, although this particular feature may not be immediately available.
Additionally, fans can anticipate various bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, as well as game files for more new characters and the next Stranger Things crossover skins.
Early patch notes for Fortnite update 38.10 reveal the following new Simpsons gameplay features:
Falling Donuts - via Homer's Zero Shard Remote
Homer Clones - via Homer's Zero Shard Remote
New Skins and Sidekicks include the Moe Szyslak Item Shop skin, Lisa Simpson and Scratchy.
General Fixes for Fortnite include addressing the Fortnite Crash Reporter upon exiting the game.
Some players on PC may encounter a Fortnite Crash Reporter error pop-up when closing the game.
However, it's important to note that your gameplay progress is safe, and a fix for this will be included in a future game update.
Other changes revealed in the Patch notes are:
• There's a missing player interaction animation when holding a weapon and interacting with a Sidekick. When the Interact button is pressed on a controller while a weapon is equipped, it may trigger the 'Can't perform that action' animation and message. The player's animation doesn't play, but the Sidekick's does.
• Mr. Dappermint appears to be missing his bow tie. When previewing the Outfit in the Locker, Mr. Dappermint's bow tie might not display correctly.
