Let's face it, vacuuming is often the last thing on our minds after a long day at work or looking after the kids. That's where robot vacuums come in - these futuristic gadgets clean up dirt, dust and crumbs, keeping the home tidy without users having to lift a finger.
And thanks to Hoover's latest deal, they don't have to break the bank. The brand has slashed £130 off its Robot Vacuum Cleaner, bringing the price down to just £119 from the usual £249.
This saving is all thanks to a new discount code, ROBOT-DEAL. Simply enter this code at checkout to get the reduced price, making it the cheapest deal around and beating competitors like Amazon and Currys. It's also more than £1,000 more affordable than Dyson's equivalent model, reports the Mirror.
Equipped with home mapping and innovative navigation features, as well as a powerful 4,000 suction, Hoover's robot vacuum uses lasers to navigate around furniture and pets. While this model doesn't have a self-emptying dust bag feature, it will return to its charging dock when the battery runs low and resume cleaning once fully charged.
It also features a rotating brush, consisting of bristles and rubber blades, which helps sweep dirt into the suction flow. This is similar to features found on another competitor model, theeufy E28 robot vacuum (£999), which includes detangling brushes and a mop combo.
Built into the device is a LIDAR radar navigation system, which enables it to chart each room, navigate around obstacles, and steer clear of stairs. This differs from premium alternatives, such as the Dyson 360 Vis Nav, which utilises a 360-degree fisheye camera to survey the room.
Nevertheless, the nifty vacuum holds the advantage regarding cost, as it's £1,080.99 less expensive (with the discount code). Despite the substantial price gap between the two, Hoover's HG410D 001 model can chart a household in under 10 minutes, and following a swift setup via the app, enables users to establish personalised cleaning schedules. For comparison, the suction strength does vary, with Dyson's competitor offering 22,000Pa against Hoover's 4,000Pa.
As customer feedback demonstrates, though, Hoover's considerably more budget-friendly model still delivers, and users' experiences reveal that it's a perfect device for routine, household cleaning. "Very good for collecting small dust and regular small cleanups," noted one customer.
Another reviewer explains how beneficial it is toconfigure around daily routines. They commented: "It gets into all spaces, it has a rotating brush on the side that can get into corners.
"I put it on in the morning, leave for work and come home to a clean floor. It picks up everything. I have pets, and it's fab for picking up pet hair and stray cat litter."
The same customer continued to describe it as 'the best gadget' they've ever purchased and commended it for 'saving time and work'. Another remarked: "Excellent, light but with tremendous suction."
One drawback mentioned is the radar light, as some users suggest it can overlook obstacles depending on their height. As one individual noted: "The only downside so far is that the radar turret is a bit high and restricts it cleaning under some furniture. This can be resolved by blocking the restricted area on the app, so it's just a small problem."
One of our team members, Sam Jones, utilises the vacuum 2-in-1 Robot to achieve sparkling floors, while simultaneously collecting dust and dirt. This robot vacuum and mop combo is slightly pricier at £299, but it's another option for those who prefer to conserve space with appliances - eliminating the need for a separate mop and vacuum in the cupboard.
As a novice user of a robot model, Sam was left 'astonished by the results', as he stated in his review: "It undoubtedly makes life a lot easier while, crucially, retailing at a sensible price point.
"After that, you set the robot off to map your rooms, and I was blown away by how impressive this is. It does a really good job of keeping on top of crumbs, dust and muddy marks.
"There are a couple of little flaws, particularly around the app, which I think some less tech-savvy people might struggle with a bit, but overall I think it's excellent for the price point."
