The FA Cup is back this weekend, with teams from the lower tiers of English football battling it out for a place in the second round draw. Over the first two days of November, non-league, League One and Two teams will participate in the first round of the cup competition, all dreaming of a lengthy run.
The FA Cup, the world's oldest national football competition, was first contested during the 1871/72 season. To date, 45 clubs have lifted the trophy, with Arsenal holding the record for the most titles won at 14. Crystal Palace are the current holders, having triumphed last season with a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the final. Now, a new chapter begins as numerous clubs vie for their first piece of silverware, with the excitement intensifying from the second round onwards.

When will the FA Cup second round draw take place?The FA Cup's second round draw is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025. The number of games drawn will be reduced to 20, down from 40 in the first round.
Where can I watch the FA Cup second round draw?The broadcaster for the live second round draw has not yet been confirmed. TNT Sports and BBC hold the rights for the cup competition, with the former broadcasting all matches from the third round onwards.
