Danny Cipriani's post-rugby life after romance drama and Katie Price's 'Chipolata' dig

Danny Cipriani has swapped the chilly climate of England for sunny Los Angeles after retiring from rugby in 2024. His career on the pitch was a rollercoaster ride, mirroring his tumultuous love life, with the handsome sportsman often finding himself the object of many women's desires.

Cipriani, who made 16 appearances for England between 2008 and 2018, played for top clubs including Bath, Gloucester and Sale Sharks. The gifted fly-half announced his retirement from the sport in January last year when he was 36. However, the ex-Wasps player is not just known for his prowess on the rugby field. He also made headlines for his romances with some of the biggest names in showbiz.

His first public romance was with Cheeky Girl Monica Irimia in 2007, but it ended abruptly amid rumours of infidelity with model Larissa Summers. After their split, Monica told the Daily Star: "He doesn't want a steady relationship. He just wants - dot dot dot - let's put it that way!"

Perhaps Cipriani's most high-profile romance - and one of his longest - was with model and actress Kelly Brook. Their relationship began in the same year he split from Irimia.

Rumours swirled that Brook called off their relationship in 2010 after she discovered him giving his number to a stripper in Las Vegas. Reflecting on her turbulent relationship with Cipriani, Brook, now 45, told Weekend magazine in 2016: "He is drama, drama, drama.

"If it's not women, it's getting arrested. The guy's a car crash."

Cipriani discussed his relationship in a 2015 interview with The Sun, where he said: "After that, I had depression for nine months. It's cool as I've now learnt everyone's got their family issues, whatever they might be.

"It wasn't a great time and I had to see somebody to get help. It's part of growing up, and going through that in the spotlight is tough."

Following his split from Brook, the former rugby star dated ex-Disney actress Lindsay Lohan. However, this brief romance fizzled out after a few dates, with Cipriani saying at the time: "I met Lindsay in LA and we have been friends for a long time.

"She's obviously been through a lot of bad things but she's a really sweet girl."

Despite his history with A-list celebrities, it was Cipriani's fleeting affair with Katie Price that caused him the most trouble. The couple got together in 2011 and split the same year after Price accused him of infidelity.

In her 2013 autobiography Love, Lipstick and Lies, Price didn't hold back, making fun of Cipriani's private areas. She wrote: "In my experience, he was a bit - erm - lean in the most obvious departments.

"That's why I nicknamed him Danny Chipolata. He can no longer hit the right spots on the rugby field and he certainly can't find them on a woman."

Reacting to these allegations, the former Bath player said: "I have no ill feeling towards that and it's just how it is. At the time, it was frustrating."

Cipriani's romantic history includes relationships with Lara Bingle, Jasmine Waltz, Kirsty Gallacher and his first wife, Victoria Rose. The couple met in 2020, got engaged within a year, and married in 2021.

However, they parted ways in 2023 and finalised their divorce last year. More recently, Cipriani was in a relationship with 90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord, but they split earlier this year.
