Rawalpindi stadium destroyed

Pakistan's Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has been destroyed in India's drone attack. A Pakistan Super League match was to be held on this ground this evening. This PSL match was to be held between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings. Karachi's captain is Australian veteran cricketer David Warner and Peshawar's captain is Babar Azam. According to Pakistani media reports, all the remaining matches of PSL (including today's match), which were to be held in Rawalpindi, have been shifted to Karachi.

Viral video on social media

A video is also going viral on social media, in which a Pakistani man is seen saying, 'There has been a drone attack here, but the police are saying that lightning has struck.'

India destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts

This attack is the result of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan in recent times. There was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on 22 April, in which 26 tourists lost their lives. After this, the bitterness in the relations between the two countries has increased further. India took several tough steps in response to this attack, including suspending the Indus Water Treaty and banning the streaming of PSL in Pakistan. But Pakistan suffered the biggest blow when on the night of 7 April, India destroyed 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan.

India's befitting reply

Now India has retaliated by launching drone attacks, this happened when Pakistan tried to attack several cities. According to the Ministry of Defense, on the intervening night of 7 and 8 May, Pakistan tried to attack several military bases in northern and western India including Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bathinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai and Bhuj using drones and missiles. But India's air defense system foiled them.
