Tragic Death of 9-Year-Old in Jaipur School Sparks Outrage, CCTV Footage Reveals Shocking Details
A shocking incident from Jaipur has sent shockwaves across the nation. A 9-year-old girl, identified as Amayra, a Class 4 student at a reputed private school, allegedly fell from the fourth floor of the building under mysterious circumstances. The case, which initially appeared to be a tragic accident or suicide, has now raised serious questions about the school’s safety measures and its silence following the incident.

According to reports, the student went to school as usual on Saturday. Sometime after noon, she reportedly went to the restroom and later reached the fourth floor of the school. Shortly after, she was found lying on the ground. The CCTV footage that has surfaced shows the child climbing the railing before falling, while other students can be seen walking nearby, seemingly unaware of what was about to happen.
Police officials from the Mansarovar police station stated that the preliminary investigation suggests a case of suicide. However, Amayra’s family has strongly rejected this theory, alleging negligence and foul play on the part of the school authorities. They have filed a complaint demanding a thorough investigation into the role of the teachers and staff present at the time.
Authorities Step In, Inquiry Committee FormedLakhan Khatana, Station House Officer of Mansarovar, confirmed that Amayra was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately after the fall, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival. In response to the public outrage, Rajasthan’s School Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, has ordered a detailed investigation and formed a committee to uncover the facts behind the girl’s death. Forensic experts have also been called in to collect evidence from the scene.
The minister expressed concern over the apparent lack of safety arrangements in the school, emphasizing that no child should ever face such a fate within an educational institution. “We will ensure that the truth comes out and those responsible are held accountable,” he said.
School’s Silence Deepens the MysteryOne of the most troubling aspects of the case is the school administration’s silence. A team of six education officials was sent to the school for an inspection, but according to District Education Officer Ram Niwas Sharma, the staff and management refused to meet them. Despite repeated knocks, the school gates remained locked from the inside.
Sharma stated, “Neither the principal nor any representative came forward to cooperate. This is a matter of serious concern. The department is considering revoking the school’s license if non-cooperation continues.”
Adding to the suspicion, police officials have alleged that by the time they reached the spot, the area where the girl had fallen had already been cleaned. Blood stains were reportedly washed away, which could potentially destroy crucial evidence.
What Really Happened Inside the School? The classroom where Amayra studied was located on the ground floor. Investigators are now trying to determine what led her to the fourth floor — a restricted area for junior students. The CCTV footage reportedly shows no sign of external force or struggle, but experts are not ruling out psychological or emotional factors.
While police are treating it as a case of possible suicide, they are also probing whether the child was under any kind of mental stress, bullying, or pressure at school. Family members, however, insist that Amayra was a cheerful child with no history of depression or anxiety.
Public Reaction and Call for AccountabilityThe disturbing details have sparked a debate on school safety and the mental well-being of children. Parents and activists are demanding strict safety audits in private schools, along with trained counselors and stricter supervision for young students.
This case has also reignited the discussion on how schools handle emergencies. The fact that the management allegedly obstructed the inquiry has further intensified public anger.
As investigations continue, questions remain unanswered — was it truly a case of suicide, a tragic accident, or something more sinister?
