Ozzy Osbourne has been laid to rest beneath a crabapple tree in the gardens of his Buckinghamshire home, leaving widow Sharon Osbournefacing a painful decision about where she will now live.
TheBlack Sabbath frontman, who died in July aged 75, had long expressed a wish to be buried at Welders House, the Georgian mansion he and Sharon purchased in 1993.
The couple spent decades dividing their time between the UK and the United States.
In his 2009 autobiography I Am Ozzy, the singer wrote: “I want to be put in the ground, in a nice garden somewhere, with a tree planted over my head. A crabapple tree, preferably.”
Sharon, 72, carried out those wishes earlier this summer, ensuring her husband was buried within the grounds of the family estate.

However, the decision has reportedly left her incredibly conflicted. Sharon now faces the choice of remaining in Britain, close to Ozzy’s grave, or returning to Los Angeles, where their three children, Aimee, Jack, and Kelly, and five grandchildren are based.
A source close to the family said Sharon is struggling with the dilemma. “She is heartbroken, she thought she would be nursing Ozzy for much longer in the UK. Now she’s sad, she is lonely, she’s a widow,” the insider explained.
“She faces living a life without the children but it’s so upsetting to leave Ozzy cold in the ground. She can’t cut herself in half and be in both places but she is so devoted to Ozzy.”
The children have already returned to their lives in America. Jack, 38, has four daughters, while Kelly, 39, has a young son, meaning Sharon’s grandchildren are all being raised across the Atlantic.
Friends believe Sharon may soon decide to rejoin her family in California despite her deep attachment to Ozzy’s resting place.
“She is in a state of pure devastation,” the source said.

“Her friends hope that she makes the choice to go back to living in America really soon. It’s her birthday soon and surely she won’t want to be celebrating alone. She needs to hug the family that she loves so much.”
Ozzy and Sharon had been married for more than 40 years. His burial marks the end of an era for the Osbournes, who became household names worldwide after their MTV reality series in the early 2000s.
Ozzy's untimely death shocked the world on July 22, just weeks after his huge charity concertin his beloved Birmingham after he finally made it home after years.
