Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas has spoken out after receiving a flurry of concerned messages about herself. The musical theatre star, 30, who emerged victorious from the ITV talent competition in 2024 after performing classics like My Way and Over The Rainbow, was interacting with her fans as normal on social media when they all suspected something was wrong.
The songstress was inundated with messages telling her she needs to take a rest because she looks so 'tired' when in actual fact she just wasn't wearing any makeup.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she said: "Just got to say something. I have just got to say something. So, obviously, I put a video on yesterday of me talking about whatever I was talking about, and yes, I did not have any makeup on. The amount of people who messaged me going 'Sydnie, you look so tired! You must be looking after yourself!'"

The TV star was mystified as to why in 'this day and age' a natural complexion leads to questions of illness and reassured her 200,000 followers that she is 'completely fine' despite the concern.
"Guys, I just haven't got any makeup on. I'm just rocking what my mother gave me in them moment in time. I'm fine, I am completely fine!
"It's so funny, this day and age, the second you don't have any makeup on, people think you're not well."
Since winning BGT, Sydnie has released the album My Way, performed for King Charles at the Royal Variety Performance and found herself schmoozing in LA with Michael Bubleand Jennifer Hudson. Over the summer, she played the part of Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical alongside Jeff Brazier and Aston Merrygold.
But despite living the dream, Sydnie insisted her feet are still firmly on the ground. When asked about her fame, she recently said: “I don’t get noticed, ever. I get on the Tube and no one bats an eyelid. I’m not that famous! I was out with Harry Clark and Paul Gortonfrom The Traitors last summer – they’re my friends. Everyone recognised them, but not me. They thought that I was their manager.”
Sydnie had spent four years toying with the idea of auditioning for BGT before finally taking the plunge. But after she took the BGT crown, she admitted: “The show has changed my life – 2024 has been the best year yet.”
After her big performance in front of royalty, Sydnie was impressed to discover just how 'normal' the monarch is in real life.
She said at the time: "It was like talking to your grandad. The King looks like his mum. He’s small, with big hands. I was so impressed. He said, ‘Were you the girl that won the contest?’ I went, ‘Yeah’. I loved how normal he was.” In another ‘pinch- me’ moment, Sydnie was asked to perform at an LA fundraiser organised by hotshot record producer David Foster.
She recalled: “I walked in and Jennifer Hudson was singing I Will Always Love You. Then Michael Buble jumped on the stage. I went up after him. Michael ran backstage and lifted me up. It was pukka… they’re just normal people. Hopefully they’ll be my mates one day.”
And the star, who has made regular appearances on Loose Women, This Morning and also presented the ITV Daytime competitions around the festive period, also admitted she plans to release another album in the not-so-distant future. She said: "Every opportunity, I'm happy for.
"Just getting consistent work, then I'm living the dream. As long as it carries on then I'm happy. Any of it. Any type of performing. Whether it be on the stage or whether it be this [touring]. I'm learning that I absolutely love it."
