The monsoon that comes after the scorching heat provides us relief from the scorching sun and heat, but while we get relief in this season, we also have to take care of some things in this season, like this season spoils food items quickly due to humidity and dampness. Especially the problem of fungus becomes common, which not only spoils the taste but can also be a threat to health, let's know how to avoid it.

Do not touch the ration with wet hands:
Never touch the ration with wet or moist hands. This can cause pulses, flour, rice etc. to spoil quickly.
Use neem leaves:
Add some dried neem leaves to spices, lentils, rice, and flour. They are natural anti-fungal and protect against moisture.
Add cloves to dry fruits:
To protect dry fruits from mold, put 1-2 cloves in the container. This prevents moisture from entering them, and they remain safe for a long time.

Store rations in a dry and ventilated place:
Keep rations away from moisture and water. Use airtight containers if necessary.
Store some items in the fridge:
It is a good option to keep items like dry fruits, kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils and rice in the fridge during the monsoon season. This prevents them from getting moist.
Do not keep bakery products in the fridge:
Bakery products like bread, cake get spoiled quickly during the rainy season. Do not store them in the fridge as it increases the moisture in them and the risk of fungus increases further.
