Possible causes of red color in urine

  • Kidney stones – the stones damage the urinary tract, causing bleeding
  • Urinary tract infection ( UTI) – infection can cause burning and bleeding
  • Bladder or kidney cancer – one of the early symptoms is blood in the urine
  • Kidney disease – when the kidneys do n't work properly the colour of the urine can change
  • Injury or blood clotting problem – Injury in internal parts of the body or blood clotting problem can also be the reason

If the red color of the urine does not return to normal within 1-2 days, or if other symptoms such as severe pain, burning sensation, fever, weight loss or frequent urination are felt along with it, then it is important to get yourself checked by a doctor immediately.
