The prestigious CCI Greater Mumbai District Badminton Tournament kicked off today at the iconic Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai, marking the start of six days of intense shuttle action from 2nd to 7th June. The tournament features 124 matches and a competitive lineup of 57 skilled players from across the district.
Day one delivered an electrifying start, with several players asserting early dominance. Aarya opened the day with a commanding 21 - 3 victory over Vedant, setting a strong tone for the tournament. In one of the closer matches, Ruhaan held off a determined Malhaar to win 21-16, while Dawood showed excellent control in his 21-14 win against Shaun. Daraayush played confidently to secure a 21-11 victory over Saket. Kiaan displayed fine form, defeating Daiwik convincingly 21 - 6, and Dev followed suit with a similarly dominant 21 - 6 win over Yuven. Wrapping up the day, Vedaan overwhelmed Adwait in a one-sided match, finishing 21- 4.
