Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The divisional Bal Bhavan, run by the department of women and child development, hosted a cartoon workshop led by renowned cartoonist Ismail Lehri. Children currently undergoing training at Bal Bhavan enthusiastically participated, learning the art of cartoon-making with great zeal and excitement.
Lehri not only demonstrated cartoon drawing techniques but also shared a valuable life lesson: “With strong will power, any skill can be learned easily.” His interactive and humorous teaching style made the sessions enjoyable and impactful for both children and adults present.
Daily training continues at Bal Bhawan
Joint director Sandhya Vyas praised the initiative, saying, “We aim to expose children to a variety of skills and invite top professionals to mentor them. Lehri’s two-day workshop was both joyful and educational. It’s a matter of pride that such respected artists are guiding our youth.”
At Bal Bhavan, daily training continues across various disciplines from 11 AM to 5 PM, including classical dance, singing, computer literacy and spoken English. The institution is committed to nurturing holistic development in children by connecting them with authors, artists and cultural icons regularly—fostering both talent and inspiration.
