Just days after making his international debut at the youth level against Greece, the 14-year-old forward was given his first start for the Portugal U-15 side and he made it count in spectacular fashion.

Cristiano Jr opened the scoring in the 13th minute, netting his first-ever goal in national colours with a brilliant left-footed strike from a tight angle that left the Croatian goalkeeper helpless. The youngster celebrated his first goal with the iconic “SIUU” celebration made famous by his legendary father.

Continuing to showcase his natural talent and composure, the young star struck again early in the second half. In the 43rd minute, he rose to meet a cross and nodded home a precise header to restore Portugal’s lead after Croatia had equalised.

Though he was substituted later in the match, Cristiano Jr. had already left an indelible mark. With the score level at 2-2, Rafael Cabaral stepped up with a dramatic late winner to seal the title for Portugal in a gripping finale.
