JSW MG Motor India ’s latest offering, the Windsor EV Pro is set to hit showrooms on May 6. The new variant will not only bring more range and convenience but will also be equipped with features seen in rivals like the Creta Electric and Tata’s Curvv EV .
Among the highlights is the addition of Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging. In simple terms, this means the Windsor Pro will be able to power external devices and even charge another EV.

While MG hasn’t officially confirmed all the numbers yet, it is expected that the Windsor Pro will be powered by a larger 50.6 kWh battery, the same unit used in Indonesia’s Wuling Cloud EV. That’s a significant upgrade from the existing 38 kWh pack, and is expected to boost the driving range to around 460 km on a full charge.
Design-wise, subtle changes are expected, including fresh alloy wheel designs/ The updated model will also come with ADAS, based on spy shots showing radar units and ‘ADAS’ badging on test vehicles. As a result, we can expect features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking to be part of the package.
Since its launch in September 2024, the Windsor EV has been a strong performer for MG, becoming India’s best-selling electric car for seven months in a row with over 20,000 units sold.
MG currently offers the Windsor EV in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence, priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 16 lakh, ex-showroom.
