Sarkari Naukri: Bumper recruitment for 15,000+ posts in the police in this state, big relief in the age limit

Sarkari Naukri: The Maharashtra government has approved recruitment to 15,631 posts of police and jail constable. Candidates who have crossed the age limit will also get a chance. All posts will now be filled through direct recruitment. The exam will be OMR-based, and the fee has been fixed according to the category.

Sarkari Naukri: There is great news for the youth preparing for government jobs. Maharashtra government has approved direct recruitment to 15,631 posts in the police department. This includes posts like police constable, driver, bandsman, armed police constable and jail constable.

Special relaxation given in age limit

The most important thing about this recruitment is that the candidates who had crossed the maximum age limit in 2022 and 2023 will also get a chance to apply. This time the government has taken this big decision by giving special relaxation in the age limit, which can benefit thousands of youth.

All posts will be filled through direct recruitment

According to the rules till now, only 50% of the posts were directly recruited. But this time the government has decided to remove that rule and fill all the posts through direct recruitment. This decision has been taken in view of the rapidly increasing needs in the police force.

Classification of posts

This recruitment also includes the posts that will be vacant in 2024 and 2025. The details of the posts are as follows:

Police Constable – 12,399 posts
Police Constable Driver – 234 posts
Bandsman – 25 posts
Armed Police Constable – 2,393 posts
Jail Constable – 580 posts

Exam and fee

The recruitment process will be conducted at the division level and OMR based written examination will be conducted in it.

Exam fee for general category is Rs 450.

Rs 350 has been kept for reserved category.

This decision of the government is expected to bring relief to unemployed youth and is set to fill the police force with new energy.
