NCERT has clarified that teachers, teacher educators, school administrators, and untrained guidance persons from across the country can apply for the newly launched Guidance and Counseling Diploma Course.
The course can be completed in three ways: distance learning and in-person.
NCERT has designed the newly launched Guidance and Counseling Diploma Course to be accessible to all. Candidates can apply for this course in three ways: distance, face-to-face, or in their hometown or workplace.
NCERT has clarified that for candidates who wish to pursue this course in distance mode, the course will be of six months' duration, scheduled from January to June 2026. For candidates enrolled in the face-to-face mode, the course will be of three months' duration, conducted from July to September 2026 at NCERT's centers in Delhi, Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore, and Shillong. Additionally, the internship in the hometown and workplace will also be of three months, conducted from July to September 2026.
Size and how to get admission
NCERT has clarified that 50 seats have been allocated for the Guidance and Counseling Diploma Course at each center. Government employees will be given priority in admission. Applications can be submitted online only. Applications can be made online by visiting the official website and using this link until November 5th.
