Arsenal still have some work to do in the transfer market, but progress is most definitely being made.

The Gunnershave already made three new signings so far this summer and are in the process of adding two more members to their squad.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard have all been signed by Arsenal and are already at work in training ahead of the club's trip to Singapore as part of their pre-season tour.

Arsenal are also working on deals to sign Noni Madueke from Chelsea and Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon. Moves for both players are not completed yet but are close to being finalised to make the duo the newest members ofMikel Arteta's squad.

Madueke will be expected to compete with Bukayo Saka to feature on the right wing, but is also capable of performing on the left when required. When everyone is fit, Arteta would likely start Saka on the right wing, but the competition that Madueke will provide will be invaluable as the campaign goes on.

Gyokeres will be expected to be the starting central striker for Arsenal next season, once a deal is completed. The Gunners also have Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in their ranks, but if the club are willing to spend more than £60million on a striker who scored 54 goals last season then they will likely want him to start for them next term, too.

In terms of signings that could still be completed, Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia. The Spain Under-21 international will add valuable depth and versatility to the defence.

There are also rumours that Real Madrid star Rodrygo could be a target for Arsenal this summer. The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, with the Gunners mentioned as a potential destination.

Rodrygo's preferred position is on the left wing, and his arrival would see competition for places with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Only after being assessed by Arteta in training would a decision be made on who would be the first-choice left wide forward for Arsenal next season.
